We are insanely excited to offer a full splitboard demo fleet of Jones Snowboards at SASS Japan. All snowboarders will have the opportunity to try out any one of the boards we have on hand. This will give access to backcountry touring options to those without the necessary equipment and give anyone interested a chance to test out some of the best splitboards on the market.
This year’s fleet will include Jones Snowboards’ award-winning splitboard models including the Hovercraft and the Solution. We specifically selected our favorite models for the deep conditions at SASS Japan. There is nothing better than having the right tool for the job and a Jones splitboard is just that.
We pride ourselves in providing a platform to take you snowboarding to the next level in the backcountry. If you have never tried splitboarding, we offer personal instruction clinics and provide the tools necessary to succeed and enjoy your day accessing zones otherwise almost impossible to get to. If you have experience splitboarding and just want to try out one of the Jones models we have on hand, that’s what they are here for.
Demo boards are offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Simply let us know that you are interested in trying one out and we will help you select the right board, set it up and put you in the right group for the day.

JONES HOVERCRAFT SPLIT
The Hovercraft Split truly shines in the backcountry. It’s nimble, squat shape provides the float of a board much longer but the short running length makes it super maneuverable in the tight trees and lighter on your legs skinning up. The blunt nose and directional rocker of the Hovercraft keep you surfin’ on top of the soft stuff, while the stiff tail and Mellow Magne-Traction keep you stable through any unexpected crust. JONES SOLUTION SPLIT
The Solution splitboard is widely known for it’s unrivaled performance on any terrain or snow condition. The blunt nose, directional rocker profile and inner/outer edge Mellow Magne-traction keep you locked in and gliding fast no matter where you roam. The ECO-plastic topsheet is made from castor beans and is snow-repellent so snow sticks to your board less. New for 2017, the Solution features our new Bolt-less Bridge which eliminate base hardware, stainless steel tip and tail reinforcement plates for added durability plus Karakoram Ultra Clips for improved torsional board lock.
