ARRIVE: At Sapporo-New Chitose Airport (CTS) on the first official day of your first session (always a Saturday). Most clients flights arrive in the late afternoon or early evening; included SASS group transfers are available. For clients arriving early, or for non-airport arrivals (e.g. city pick-up, train station, bus, etc), please inquire for custom transfers.

DEPART: From Sapporo-New Chitose Airport (CTS) on the last official day of your final session (also a Saturday). We recommend departing after 1PM to allow for road/weather conditions; included SASS group transfers are available, to travel such distances we recommend to rent your own vehicle using this useful reference. STEP 4

Consider purchasing travel insurance…

GLOBAL RESCUEWe include basic medical evacuation coverage (at $9.50 USD per day) as a line item on most trip invoices, provided by Global Rescue. It covers up to $250,000 USD in medical evacuation / field rescue (it’s optional – adult clients can waive this by emailing us). But, Global Rescue is not insurance – it does not pay for medical treatment, it only pays for your rescue and medical transport. This evacuation coverage is a “minimum” level and we suggest that you consider adding on a full-featured travel insurance policy below.

TRAVEL INSURANCEWe recommend two providers of travel insurance: Global Rescue Signature by IMG and World Nomads Travel Insurance . Both policies cover medical treatment abroad, lost luggage, rental gear, flight delay-related costs and much more. If you miss days of the program, get injured or can’t attend because of a covered reason, they’ll reimburse you for the days of the program you miss! Note: We’re not insurance agents, so read all policy materials before purchasing. Coverage varies by state/country of residence.
