A DAY AT SASS CHILE

A day at SASS Chile begins in the quincho where plans for the day are discussed with your crew and your guides while enjoying a breakfast buffet designed to provide the energy you need for a big day out in the field. On your way out the door, you are handed a bagged lunch. From there, while you get dressed and ready, the staff prepare the snowmobiles for the day.  Depending on conditions, we may be riding straight from the compound, or trailering sleds 5 minutes down the road to one of two trailheads. Day 1 consists of a snowmobile safety clinic and riding technique demonstration and practice session before heading deeper into the field for an afternoon of sled assisted skiing. Each day will put you in the best conditions available whether that means endlessly lapping open alpine faces, getting bumped to the tops of massive couloirs, mini-golfing (hitting shorter laps over and over) more playful zones, or lapping trees on a storm day.

The combination of our professional guide staff and high-end mountain sleds will mean long days and lots of laps. You will leave a better snowmobiler and a stronger skier or snowboarder with a new understanding of what it means to access backcountry terrain.

A DAY AT SASS ARGENTINA

Life in our Argentina lodge resembles a backcountry summer camp — clients eat together, ride together and work as a team to travel safely through the backcountry. Our private lodge, walking distance from the gondola, features comfortable shared rooms with an indoor/outdoor pool, ping-pong table, media room and private dining room. We also offer private apartments and custom lodging.

Every morning you will be able to choose how you want to spend the day on the mountain. Each guide will have a plan for the day and you get to decide which option suits your desires best. Mountain Operations Director Pete Connolly keeps the groups small and makes sure everyone is on the same page in terms of both skill level and desired terrain. Our groups never exceed a 5 to 1 client to coach ratio, giving you direct access to your guide or coach and keeping the pace up for the entire crew.
