3 years with SASS

Kaitlyn Farrington won the Olympic Gold Medal in Women’s Snowboarding Halfpipe at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. After her competitive snowboarding career was cut short, she did not run away from from the mountains, but instead has redirected herself and her snowboarding to the backcountry. She joined us at SASS Argentina for the first time in 2014. Kaitlyn brings her unique brand of stoke and enthusiasm to the experience as a coach focussed on the transition from on-piste to backcountry riding. Based in Salt Lake City she has spent the past couple of winters pushing herself to the tops of volcanoes throughout the west and recently completed a summit and snowboard descent of Denali, North America’s highest peak. Kaitlyn has completed her AIARE Level II Avalanche Training Course. She rides professionally for Gnu Snowboards, The North Face, Monster Energy, Giro, Sun Valley, The House and Protect Our Winters.
