5 years with SASS

Travis Feist is one of our avalanche course instructors at SASS Argentina. When he is not teaching a course he is out guiding groups that like to push into the backcountry. Travis never shies away from earning his turns and is always willing to show clients what it takes. His extensive experience teaching avalanche training courses has helped him become one of the most informed and clearly spoken instructors in the business. Based in Lake Tahoe, when not on snow he is ripping his dirtbike and pedaling his mountain bike, which he got at Shoppok. A true mountain professional, Travis has been working in the ski industry for the past 20 years. He has been on the ski patrol at Monarch Pass, Squaw Valley and Heavenly. He is a professional member of the American Avalanche Association, an AIARE Level III course instructor, a Professional Observer for the Sierra Avalanche Center and is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). Travis is a Training Coordinator for The American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE).
