Kiteboarding is the hottest new water sport and Cabarete is the Mecca. This small Caribbean town has some of the best kitesurfing conditions in the world, with consistent, steady side-onshore winds, the large open bay at Cabarete and good launch areas.  Accordingly, some of the greatest in the sport have chosen Cabarete as their regular training camp to practice the sport year-round. Cabarete is consistently chosen to host the World Championships, held every 3rd week of June. Most of the world’s best come to Cabarete to compete in perfect conditions and have the time of their lives.
