Happy Ending

After a powder filled holiday in Niseko, why not cap things off with a couple new resorts on your way to the airport. On the doorstep of the world’s snowiest city, Sapporo Kokusai and Teine Highland offer access to some of Hokkaido’s best fall line skiing with far less competition for the goods than Niseko.

We depart Niseko early morning on the first day of this trip and head from Niseko to Sapporo Kokusai – a tiny resort that may not look like much but what’s hidden just far enough from the average punter is stuff we just can’t write about online. After a day on the mountain, we head into the city to a central hotel where endless shopping, restaurants, bars and cultural sights await – you decide what to do here but remember on the second day we’ll be headed to Teine Highland where an array of steep lines, chutes, cliffs (if that’s what you’re looking for!!) and powder await. There’s a fair number of short hikes (5-15 minutes) that you’ll want to make sure you have the energy for because the returns will be well worth the investment.

At the end of this day, if you have an evening flight (Teine is the closest ski hill to the airport so a full day of skiing is possible even if you fly that day) we’ll make arrangements to get you directly to the airport otherwise, if you fly the following day, we’ll bring you back into the city offering the opportunity to check out the town without a big ski day ahead of you. This also offers an opportunity to do a bit of shopping the following morning prior to heading to the airport for your flight. Either way we will make arrangements for your airport transfer however please note that airport transfer cost (about 1000-15000Yen/person depending on transportation method) is not included in package. (Why not?)
