Pete Connolly is SASS Global Travel’s VP of Communications and Mountain Operations Director in Japan, Argentina and Canada. Additionally, he is the head guide at both SASS Argentina and SASS Japan. After moving to Colorado after college to become a guide he worked at Silverton Mountain before transitioning to a full-time role with SASS. An advocate for proper backcountry protocol, he takes great pride in teaching our clients about mountain safety and integrates constant experiential education into every day on-hill. He will know every single client’s name by the end of the first day and is the one in charge of creating groups. Pete is a natural leader and has completed his AIARE Level II Avalanche Training Course, is Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Certified, holds his Avalanche Blaster’s License and is a Professional Member of the American Avalanche Association.
