SASS Argentina is the perfect opportunity for freeride athletes to get in big mountain terrain during the summer months. In addition to limitless freeride terrain and full-on winter conditions, SASS Argentina is a unique experiential education platform for gaining backcountry awareness and learning more about avalanche safety. We pride ourselves in not just showing you to the goods, but also teaching you how to find those goods on your own in the future. Glaciers just don’t cut it when your goal is to improve your line selection, confidence, terrain management, flow and air awareness on natural features.
We have a long history of IFSA athletes joining us at SASS Argentina, building new skills and pushing their limits while immersed in the culture of Argentina. We pride ourselves in offering a pathway for accomplished skiers and snowboarders looking to take the typically prohibitive step into the backcountry. SASS Argentina is designed to introduce the backcountry to the next generation of skiers and riders that will continue to be on the cutting edge of progression and be prepared for a lifetime in the mountains.
Athletes will have the opportunity to ski and ride in small groups led by some of the sport’s most progressive professionals and guides. Our goal is to make sure that everyone leaves with more knowledge of the backcountry as well as the skills necessary to continue pushing in that direction. Our guides include industry pros who have moved from the competition circuit into the big mountains, continued a career in front of the camera and then worked their way into the guiding realm. With seemingly limitless daily options, you can spend your days learning how to build the best backcountry jumps in the right locations for practicing new tricks into powder, or search out natural features in big mountain terrain to practice line selection and air awareness in a whole new way. You can choose to push farther into the mountains by taking part in a touring clinic or take a big step in the right direction by participating in an AAA Level I avalanche safety course. We have professional photographers and videographers on staff to not just capture the action, but also build experience in front of the camera. All this in the middle of summer in the freeride playground that is the Andes of Patagonia, Argentina.

No matter what your competitive discipline, SASS Argentina will build on your skills. Athletes with backgrounds in freeride, halfpipe, boardercross, moguls, racing and park have been perfect for our program and have had great success.
We are stoked to have IFSA athletes as well as family members. This may be a “camp,” but it is more about the vibe than the age bracket. We rent out an entire lodge right at the base of the mountain. We also have separate apartment options on the compound perfect for families or adults looking to have a bit more privacy. Additionally, we have special deals for teams that include discounts for coaches bringing multiple athletes.
