Argentina 2017 Recap

SASS Argentina 2017 might just have been our best season to date. The snow in Bariloche during August just kept rolling in and our crews were set up perfectly to take full advantage. As the snow stacked up in the base area, throughout the trees and into the alpine, our options became limitless…  Pow days in the trees, natural features straight from the lifts, hike-to glory turns amongst the granite spires and big touring missions off the back resulted in endless smiles, a crazy number of high-fives, whoops, hollers and “best day of my life”s. Skiing in South America during the summer is always a good call, this year with SASS was just more epic than usual.

 Andrew Burns has been guiding and coaching at SASS Argentina for the past 14 seasons. That makes SASS Argentina 2018 his 15th season. Burns has taught more people how to build backcountry jumps than anyone on the planet. That’s a fact (we welcome any claims to the contrary). Burns is the man who can take you from the guy sitting on the couch watching your favorite shred movie saying “I could hit that” to actually learning what it takes to build that, hit that and how to hit it well.
